Technology is exploding all around us every day and students need to move forward with it. I am so excited that within the past couple of years our school has a 1 to 1 ratio of student to Chromebook. However, in our district budget cuts every year become steeper. It has become difficult for educators to maintain classroom supplies such as paper, ink, and headphones. It is no secret that kids love using technology. They especially like audio books, educational videos (especially science), and math games. Technology if utilized correctly can enhance a lesson and spark students' interests. Unfortunately, because of our budget, we do not receive new headphones each year. Most of them are several years old and either have exposed wires or are not in good condition. When they break, they are not replaced immediately. We have resorted to sharing headphones and also asking students to bring in earbuds. Currently, we have no extra headphones. So if I receive a new student he/she will have none. I am requesting a new set of headphones to enhance my students' learning in our classroom. Please consider donating to this project, no matter how big or small it will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for helping out our school community!
