The 9th and 10th grade students at my school are funny, difficult to handle, and are filled with the most potential to succeed. They are interested in the world, how it works, and the books we read. My 8th graders, who I now teach as 10th graders, after reading The Outsiders, walked the halls and pretended to be greasers because they love the story and how it connects to their own lives. I can go on, explaining events that have taken place that are funny, sad, and heartwarming, but I will simply say one thing. No matter what the day or the circumstance, they make my job worth it each and every day.
