Light and sound buzzers are a sensory resource that will help to engage my learners in a fun way that involves movement. Active seating will acknowledge my students' need to move, but allow them to be still enough so that other students may continue lessons uninterrupted. Another way to promote focus and physical activity while sitting involves the use of the stretchy resistance fidget bands. Throughout the school year, I noticed many of my students with sensory disorders, had a hard time staying on task with the standard computer headphones. Many times they voiced discomfort. Headphones with soft rubber ear cushions will help to remedy this problem.
