Since most of my students are low income and the courses students take are virtual, many students are in need of headphones. Headphones allow my students to focus on the lessons presented without distractions. Headphones will also allow me to tutor students one-on-one without interrupting each student’s virtual lesson. In addition, my students are in need of graphing calculators because our school offers higher level math courses to students where a graphing calculator is a necessity to the successful completion of the course. Students in Algebra II, Trigonometry, and Calculus courses will use the graphing calculators to solve various real-world and translation of sine, cosine, and tangent problems, as well as special nonlinear functions (radical and quadratic functions). The teacher will model and guide students on how to properly use and apply the strategies needed to solve the various problems using the graphing calculator. Not only will the students use the graphing calculators for their required graduation courses, but they will use them to achieve a level necessary to attend a technical school or university.
