This project will help engage my students and increase their love for reading. Our focus this year as a grade level is reading engagement. We want our students to read 20 books by the end of the year. Listening to text in an audio form will provide my students with confidence. Listening to audio books allows the students to hear modeled reading, something many do not receive on a regular basis from home. In turn, my students will follow along and gain an appreciation for books and a love of reading. Many of my students are currently reading at a 3rd grade or below level, and need helping fill the gap.
