Many of the practices and materials in my district are antiquated, but I have limited funding to do anything about it. Many of my materials are more than 20 years old, and funding for updates is limited. Most things we have that are current are purchased through small grants, given by donation or are out of pocket expenses. New materials would go a long way in engaging my students in therapy sessions in new and exciting games and activities that they haven't been playing for five years over and over. Also having access to a variety of sensory materials to meet the needs of my kiddos that need an outlet for excess energy and anxiety so they can focus in therapy and in the classroom. Lastly, a color printer is something I don't have access to in my schools. It would allow me to create vibrant materials, as well as give me access to private printing to protect the privacy of everyone on my caseload. Small school can do great things when they have access to resources. Any help would be greatly appreciated to assist me in making sure every child in my district has a voice!
