I will be able to carry all my documents and files for grades K-6 in an easy (non backbreaking way) and use it to also skype in experts into classrooms and model best practices with teachers. I will also be able to model and demonstrate reading strategies for students and take running records on any book they have in front of them. I will be able to use this to model writing, to conference with students in reading and writing and word study, thus giving them more insight and strategies to succeed. I have been working in classrooms K-6 this year and struggle to always have access to the right book to model with, a piece of my own writing close at hand and when I have to travel to another school to work with students K-6 there I have to lug bag after bag and still seem to fall short of access and materials. I am hoping that by having this ipad set it will help increase my impact in the classroom and with teachers so that the best practices continue when I go into the next.
