During my years of teaching, I have seen my students struggle to reach for materials while creating. Our current chairs are different sizes, making it especially difficult for the younger students to access materials. They are uncomfortable, and students easily lose focus. In other art rooms I have taught in, I have seen stools being utilized and they help promote student engagement. The stools made it easier for all grades to work and reach materials with ease. Students were more comfortable, which lead to them being more focused. Stools also take up less room and can be stored under tables, allowing for more mobility in the classroom.
