My students move, shake, twirl, and spin while they learn. By giving them seating options, I can better support more learning and keep those sensory needs in check. Students love the flexibility of working at tables, on the floor, or a combination of the two. These options will help them feel like they have choices in their learning, which motivates them to work harder and learn more. Flexible options also help my learners choose more independence and focus on self-monitoring their learning. Seating that supports students working in their own space and at their own pace, helps my students look towards independence in achieving their goals.
