We are requesting rhythm instruments that are durable, safe, and easy to handle. In my classroom we use rhythm instruments to keep a steady beat and perform various rhythms to the songs we create. Often a story will be read, and students will play their rhythm instruments along with the story as we create a song to accompany it. Everyone knows music can make a story much more interesting, and my students love to make our stories come to life when they add their music to it! The smile on students' faces tells the story of the joy they feel when they create their own music. The rhythm instruments we use need to be durable, safe, and easy to handle. These replacement instruments will allow all of my students with special needs the ability to participate equally in music class, and provide a well-rounded and inclusive experience for them.
