The flexible seating items in my project will be utilized to ensure that school is a safe haven for my students. Seventy percent of my students are considered “at risk of not graduating” based on test scores, economic status, and difficult living situations. Flexible seating will increase student engagement, comfort,and concentration. The floor seating bundle will be used as a space to host my “math games” and “word work” centers. It’s will increase student collaboration as a space to do group work. The balance ball seats will be used during small group work at my “teacher table” and will increase student ability to focus and learn during this valuable time.
