I have always been a proponent of alternative seating. For years, I have had a classroom full of exercise balls, cushions, stools, and more. I even sit on an exercise ball! These have been a HUGE asset to my students. They allow kiddos choice when working and also allow them to move and fidget when needed. Now, there are SO many more options for alternative seating. We need additional seating choices to continue to promote social and academic success in our classroom! Some of the kiddos enjoy sitting on the floor to work, but let's face it...the classroom floor isn't comfortable. Miniature desks solve this problem! Some of the kiddos struggle to sit on the exercise balls. Wobble seats solve this problem! With so many options available, my kiddos can now choose what tool will allow them to be most successful! I want to give my kiddos more seating options! By choosing the seat that best meets his or her needs, the kiddos have choice and promote their own academic and social success.
