Books and other reading materials will allow my students who often do not put literacy first to have experiences with new literacy experiences. New kinds of text at all different levels will allow them to explore the world of literacy and figure out their interests so that they can learn to love reading. Reading will allow them to dream up a world in which they can become and do anything they wish! My wish for my students is that they become readers who choose to pick up a book instead of anything else. Reading gives us some place to go when we have to stay where we are!

About my class
