There are many ways that my students can benefit from noise canceling headphones. These headphones can be used during a test when they are not even plugged into anything. Many of my students have trouble focusing, so if they can have something to block out the noise they have a better chance of staying on track. My students have access to many online tools that can help them get information and have the text read to them. There are videos that can assist them in solving math problems in different ways. These headphones would give them a way to listen to the text while they read it, which can boost their comprehension. The headphones can also give the students access to music which helps with their focus and blocks out other distractions. I have many students that cannot handle even the slightest distraction. If I can eliminate their ability to hear the distractions then they will have more chances to focus and process information. Khan Academy has so many great videos and tutorials that my students can use to gain a better understanding of topics and this would allow them access to these videos.
