By providing flexible seating in the Traditional Computer Lab, we will transform it into a Tech Lab Cafe where students will have mobility to configure the Tech Lab for different projects and tasks. Students will no longer be limited to traditional long, bulky rectangle tables and traditional chairs. They will have a choice in their seating and be more engaged in their learning. Being able to quickly change the configuration of the learning space through flexible seating creates a learning space that promotes creativity and sparks the imagination. Students will be able to select the space and atmosphere in the classroom needed for a given task by allowed to reconfigure the room with our flexible seating to promote collaboration and communication with peers. These students will enter the workforce in jobs that currently do not exist. However, by the use of flexible seating and applying the 4C's (critical thinking, creativity, communication, and collaboration) in the new Tech Lab Cafe on a daily basis these students have the skills needed for any career path they choose. Students will have the skills needed to modify their workspace to make it the ideal space to solve real-world problems.
