I am making it my goal this school year to create an even stronger climate of acceptance, individuality, and compassion among all of my students. In order to do so I have selected book titles that will serve as wonderful talking points for my students and I. I hope to inspire them to do the impossible and challenge them to spread kindness to everyone. Due our new guidelines following safety protocol for Covid-19, my students will be expected to remain in one area of the room for a majority of their time in school, as well as social distance from myself and their friends; which is awfully challenging for these little ones! I thought that by giving my students the options of engaging hands-on STEM toys that keep their little hands busy, fidget bands, fidget toys, as well as flexible seating, will allow them to feel a sense of choice and control in this ever-changing environment. All of these items will be easily divided among the students and sanitized with ease.
