For years, we have used mesh bags to carry our basketballs in and out of practice. We have yet to have a mesh bag survive a full season without becoming torn due to the strain of carrying the required equipment. We always need more basketballs which is why those are included in this project as well. The basketball cart on wheels will provide our student athletes the opportunity to practice as if they are playing in the pros. Not only will this cart solve our equipment transporting problem, but it also provides the opportunity for various shooting drills. Setting the cart in a specific spot on the court will allow students to shoot multiple times from the exact same spot before the basketballs need to be retrieved. Wheeling the basketballs in and out allows student athletes to begin practicing as soon as school dismisses. We have invested in carts within our budget, but unfortunately those broke easily and quickly. A top of the line cart like the one in this project will help us improve the program that we offer to our student athletes.
