Our morning routine has us sit in our meeting area and discuss our calendar, daily activities, and exciting things happening in our 1st grade lives. It would be wonderful if we had an actual rug that defined our meeting area so each student had their "own" space to sit for this time each morning (and other times throughout the day). Being able to give assigned seats to each student would help them focus on the lesson instead of each other. I can imagine the excitement and conversation that this funded project will bring to my classroom! They will be amazed to hear how our meeting area rug came to be ours.
