Currently we educate our students on the dangers and struggles of substance abuse via a Cognitive Behavior Intervention curriculum. While this curriculum is very effective we are looking to supplement it with meaningful novels and texts that bring experiences to life and lead to meaningful discussion and dialogue. By implementing these novels into our curriculum students will be able to read text that explains many of their own struggles and how to overcome them. By implementing meaningful novels into our curriculum we will have the opportunity to work on students literacy skills while also working on their social and emotional well being.

About my class
