Students working together and using hands-on materials is a key to learning. This approach emphasizes and enhances the basic reading, writing, math, social studies and science skills my fifth graders already possess. If you purchase my requested games, my students will not only grow academically, but socially as well. One of my goals in teaching is to have my students learn by doing so they will be prepared for real world situations, be successful in the workforce and to have appropriate social skills that will enhance their career and family life. My low income students will benefit from these games when they use them during their Math and Reading Intervention time. The Intervention block is one hour/day. During this time students receive extra hands-on learning in reading and math.
