Our students make great gains and strides each and everyday at school. Many follow an individualized, structured schedule, which includes a sensory break at least once a day. A large focus of our program is helping our students regulate their wants, needs and feelings in an appropriate manner, which often involves sensory input techniques. Our district has come together to start building a sensory room to meet the sensory needs our students are seeking. The Steamroller squeeze machine is designed to provide the deep pressure students that many students often seek for calming purposes. Having direct access to this machine can have an extremely positive influence on our students behavior and perceptions, as well as open a new world to self regulation opportunities for our students. This new addition to our sensory space will promote independence and self regulation skills that can be used for the rest of our students' lives. The remarkable gains these students make will be enhanced with the Steamroller squeeze machine. Your donation to this cause will be life changing for many children at our school. The extraordinary passion for our students is shared by both family and staff. Please help us achieve our goal!
