My kindergarten students love reading time. This is the time that they choose books and find a special spot to sit in around the room. Usually, they would sit in big comfy chairs or on fluffy reading pillows. Due to COVID-19 risks, we have had to remove these things from our classroom. The soft seat cushions are a safe alternative and would give my kindergartners a safe, cozy place to read, while following social distancing guidelines. In addition to using the cushions inside our classroom, we could also take them outside to enjoy a good story in the sunshine.
