Currently my students join me for group time on a stationary rug. This is a hard surface which does not allow for easy cleanups.... and we know how 4 year old's are.... A soft seating surface would not only allow the student the ability to choose where he or she sits during group time, it will also be more sanitary, This will also make small group time and center time more portable with the flexible option for the student. I envision my students being able to come to class, grab their seat and choose a spot to sit. This will allow them to be more comfortable and attentive as well as engaged in our lessons.
