These materials will make a huge difference in my students' learning by providing an avenue for them to be successful. Many of my students struggle on the day-to-day basis, but thrive when provided the right materials and support to do so. This sensory play will benefit my students' coordination, socialization, and exploration. So many of my students need sensory items to calm down, focus, and eliminate external distractions. The kinetic sand and supplies allow students' focus and energy to be narrowed in on a positive activity. The sequin pillows and fidget toys will provide a similar feeling. These supplies will help with social-emotional development because it will provide students with a new coping mechanism to use instead of tantrums or becoming overwhelmed.
