The wobble chairs and balance balls will give students options during whole group instruction, that will alter the amount of sensory feedback received by a child, by allowing movement. The collaborative floor work space will be used during reading and math, when we break up for small group instruction. The floor work space will provide another form of flexible seating away from the whole group table. Traditional furniture in our classrooms does not allow for extra movement that my students need while seated. Because of my students' sensory deficits, flexible seating will help their engagement, their work completion, and increase their attention to remain on task. It will also allow them to identify the type of furniture they find most comfortable and gets them motivated to learn. Students get a say in how they sit, where they sit, and what they sit in or on.
