My students enjoy reading a good book on a daily basis, but it has come to the point where they've read every book I have on my shelves (I only have two shelves!). We do not have a library or a librarian on campus, so my students are very dependent on the books I have available. I have a large range of readers (from second grade up to seventh grade level) and my books never seem enough. My students run to my book shelf every morning, anticipating a new arrival of books. When new books arrive, my students take turns and get in line to be the one who gets to read it next. I believe in reading and giving students enough time to read everyday. I believe reading sparks the imagination and gives every individual a sense of creativity in many different aspects. I want to be able to expose my students to the different types of language, literature, and have them explore the unknown. These additional books will be a small amount, but will be an exceptional addition to my library and I know my students will value them.
