Flexible seating allows students to collaborate with their classmates and become more engaged in their learning. My students become more engaged in their learning when they are able to move away from their desks and into an environment with more flexible seating. I have seen an excitement in my students when they have the opportunity to move around the room and pick an alternative spot to do their work. They make better choices, work harder and produce a better quality of work when they are out from behind their desks. I see a huge difference in my students when they are given a choice of where to sit around the classroom.
