My classroom sees such a variety of students, that all work at different paces. This project will allow for those that finish early to create artwork using materials and mediums of their choice as well as access art games and puzzles. The "How to Draw" books will give students a chance to learn or practice drawing animals, characters, and people. A lot of my students request to learn to draw these things, which normal class time doesn't allow. Being able to give the students the opportunity to play art games and puzzles offers the chance to practice problem-solving skills and connecting art to other subject areas such as math and science. These activities also show that art can be fun and include other things besides painting and drawing. I am excited to organize and have a dedicated space for these materials. The art cart will allow for easy mobility and the potential to be placed in a safe area while messy activities are happening, which happens a lot in the art room!
