I have several students who have been diagnosed with ADD or ADHD and have trouble sitting still to focus on the lesson. I have seen yoga balls be effective for those kids in a colleague's classroom and it helps them to focus as a sort of fidget. They also become a motivational tool as well because the students want to be able to sit on there. I want my students to have the best learning environment possible so they have the opportunity to learn and be successful. As a teacher I have to think of ways to help all students learn to the best of their ability.
