There are 3-4 classes of 25-32 students on each grade, K-5, and there are not enough updated tablets or laptops in our school to accommodate use by more than 2 classes at a time. It is an extraordinary task to schedule use of these laptops or tablets, and then another for teachers to actually get them back and forth to each other in a 4 floor school building. In a digital age such as ours, there is no excuse for all classrooms not to have one-to-one digital learning options. Having these Chromebooks will increase student engagement and learning. They will be able to read independently for enjoyment, listen to fluent reading, and have access to multiple options for improving their comprehension and vocabulary development. Please help us build our collection of Chromebooks as we work toward the goal of having complete one-to-one use of technology in our classroom.
