Math teachers can use Legos to teach integers, fractions, equations, and Pythagorean Theorem. Science teachers can teach the parts of a cell, layers of the atmosphere, layers of the earth, and weather conditions. Social Studies teachers can illustrate battles and wars as well as match states and their capitals. English Language Arts teachers can use Legos to teach plot, character development, grammar, descriptive writing, parts of a sentence, and writing organization. Music classes can use Legos to master the values of notes and to create their own music. Art can use Legos to create quickly and easily, and then recreate in other forms of art. No matter the content area, student learning will be enhanced by adding in the Legos, and they will make meaning and truly understand the material with hands on activities and the ability to visualize abstract concepts.
