Do you remember your favorite book that you read in school? "Where the Red Fern Grows" was my absolute favorite and I have the opportunity to bring this classic into my classroom. As a teacher, I want to share with my students the books that brought me great joy and still follow along with the topics we are learning during class. Following along with the curriculum used in the classroom, "Where the Red Fern Grows" focuses on a positive relationship between humans and animals. It is a perfect example of our unit theme, "Animal Allies." This book will demonstrate how animals and humans can work together and have a great, positive bond of relying on each other.
