My students have a thirst for knowledge. I would love to add a robot to our classroom! It gives them a different way to display their understanding by using logic and reasoning as they will be coding using basic functionality of directions, shapes and colors. There are 5 maps that take the students to magical places. My students using coding to navigate their way through magical lands will be a wonderful way to begin their foundation of coding through logic, while also building relationships with each other. The robot project gives opportunities for teamwork, team-building and individual coding events. Having a robot is a way to help my students positively define their school experiences by making learning fun, interactive and creative!
"Every student can learn, just not on the same day, or the same way" - George Evans.
This project will show my students that things are possible and EVERYONE can learn but maybe not in the same way! My students will also have many opportunities to learn from each other facilitating more learning and self-worth in the process. This will allow my students to learn the coding process and express themselves in a multitude of different ways!
