This year, I've been really dedicated to making my students more excited about reading. In the past year, I keep hearing a lot of resistance and negativity that students have toward reading. This year, I've been incorporating SSR, or sustained silent reading, into the curriculum. They've had a chance to look for books that match their own interests and personalities. Essentially, my goal is to help offer variety to the students because I want to create life-long readers. By helping to donate to my project, your money will help to provide some really great titles to my bookshelf. On the list, you will see a variety of titles. From classics to newly released, I really tried to pick titles that will appeal to the variety of personalities in my classroom. I've also picked titles that the students have been buzzing about. Please consider helping my class.
