Each morning we start our day with a class morning meeting. We then utilize this same space throughout the day for reading, math, and social studies. Many ideas and discoveries are made in this space. As of now, our space only has small carpets and carpet squares, which causes discomfort and distractions for the students. For my project, I am asking for donations towards a classroom carpet to create a warm, comfortable learning space for my students. One large carpet will allow students to focus more on their learning and less on their comfort. It will also allow us to feel more like a community during our learning time.
