Over the last few years, I have noticed a distinct increase in ADHD children being unable to sit still in a chair, or on the floor, and focus on lessons in both whole group and in small group settings. I have decided it would be an incredible addition and solution to incorporate alternative seating for my increasingly fidgety kindergarten students. This will not only give them an energy outlet, but will also help in redirecting focus. I have witnessed many benefits in other classrooms with alternative seating, and look forward to providing my students with the same opportunity.
