It is clear that learning environments have a direct impact on student achievement. Providing students with choice in their learning environment can help to motivate them and make learning fun. An uncomfortable student, is a distracted and unproductive student. Having flexible seating in my classroom library will help make this area a more comfortable and enjoyable place to spend time. The chairs I chose for my library will allow students to sit and relax comfortably when they read. My students love getting to spend time in the library. I use the library as a reward for students who finish early. This motivates student to work hard and get their work done. Currently, my students sit on the floor in the library area. These chairs would provide them with a comfortable floor seating open.
