Students will be able to learn and value the messages and lessons that books are trying to convey to us just like Shakespeare did. Books help my writing students to become aware of their classmates, community and world. They will learn about the universal themes of our world and the commonality we all share. Through books they can learn about becoming writers. Who knows? There might be another Shakespeare out there. By donating to our project, you will not only help to expand my resources to our Shakespeare play, you will ultimately help to culturally expand their minds while exploring a world beyond their current view. Picture books opens the window and fosters a new awareness and the idea of commonality. Messages of the importance of being true to yourself, unexpected journeys in our lives, perseverance, acceptance, forgiveness, joys of friendship and many, many more are learned through tender sensitive books. Open Books. Open Minds. Open Creativity.
