In our classroom, flexible seating can be a great tool to achieve student growth. Flexible seating allows students to have choice, comfort, and ownership over their learning experiences. The exercise balls and wiggle stools can allows students to wiggle, move, rock, or bounce. This can help students to stay focused and allow them to get out movement if needed. Flexible seating options also allow for students to build a sense of community and collaboration. The community building and teamwork aspects will not only benefit the students in an academic setting; but later in life where they will be required to participate in community and collaboration in future endeavors. Flexible seating will help students to embrace their commitment to learning and have fun, as they will be excited to use the flexible seating options daily!
