Although my students are many years below grade level in reading and math, they are still socially middle schoolers and like more age appropriate materials. The magazine subscription will give them monthly access to current events and topics, but is at their reading level and will hold their interest! Once a week, the students have "Wacky Wednesday" where we play math and reading games. The students are able to work on their skills while having fun and not know that they are learning! As a special education teacher, it is often hard to find materials and curriculum. All of the items listed would help assist me and my instructional assistants with lessons, as well as having engaging materials for our students.
