These books will continue to enhance the print-rich classroom that our schools strives to create. These books will provide students with the opportunity to not only learn about the genre of historical fiction but they will get the opportunity to study the Civil War from the characters' perspectives. Students will be given the chance to learn about how the author used the setting of the Civil War to help with character development and plot. Working in Book Clubs students will be working together to discover the magic inside their book. They will analyze different parts of the book together and see how it all fits together. They will work to determine themes, look at major and minor characters and see how the events of history unfold in their book.
