Each week my class will receive a new Time for Kids magazine with age appropriate current news topics that student are excited about. Each issue will be used as the foundation of my reading lessons. They will be used to teach state standards in a new and exciting way for students. These magazines will build students' informational-reading skills, engage them in journalism, and help them to better understand the world we live in while becoming educated and active citizens. With your generous donation, I will be able to engage, empower and inspire my students in reading by no longer having to use boring and outdated textbooks.
