Our school teaches using Reader’s Workshop. Everyday students engage in a mini lesson that teaches them how to read doing what skilled readers do. Well known texts are used to model reading fluency, character traits, story lessons, author’s craft, etc. We have a collection of picture books in our classroom, but most are not decodable for emergent readers. Additional leveled texts for our classroom library will help our students get excited about “Just Right” books to read alone or with a partner. Books are a gift to the classroom that students will enjoy for many years to come. Thank you!
