Second grade is a fun and also challenging year. We spend a good amount of time reading & writing. In math we are working hard in telling time and counting money. I wanted to get the students excited about learning how to count money by incorporating positive behavior and good choices. Students will get to decide what positive behaviors will be worth (turning in Homework, helping a classmate etc.) When "caught" doing the right thing, students will be given a certain amount of money. The money can then be used to buy special pencils, erasers, or snacks during recess. The materials listed will be used in designing, creating, and running the student store during recess. They will also aid the students in providing a service, counting money, and making change.
