Scope magazine is a way to put the world in my student's hands. My students are from a low-income, rural area. Many have never been out of their community or state. Scope magazine allows my students to read stories and articles about life outside of their bubble. My goal with this project is to expose my students to life outside of their community, and to the larger world, they are a part of. I want my students to be global thinkers, and this magazine will help them read, on their level, about stories and events that shape this world.
