Second grade students have a lot of demands on them with our rigorous curriculum in North Carolina. Having flexible seating options allows for them to get their wiggles out and continue focusing on their work simultaneously. These flexible seating options are ones that are great for students with and without attention problems. The items that I've chosen are durable and will last for many years, reaching more and more groups of second graders that I will teach. I have been in the classroom for 17 years and I have seen this need become greater with every year. Students should have the option of moving throughout the day, while still succeeding in their curriculum studies.

About my class
