We consider ourself a class of many abilities, not disabilities. However, regardless of age, gender, or ability level - we all enjoy a good story sometimes. Unfortunately our classroom has no carpet or comfortable seating for our "reading corner", leaving students sitting on tile floor - discouraging reading. We want to build a comfortable area for students to explore the world of literacy, an area where students want to take the time to expand their knowledge and imagination, a place that promotes the desire to dive into a good book. Students levels may vary greatly, but they would all benefit from an area promoting enjoyable literacy development with this carpet, these lap desks, and beanbag seats.
