This seating will help my students focus on instruction while being comfortable in an inviting learning environment. Flexible seating gives students options and provides for the body position and possibly movement each individual child requires for maximum academic achievement. In the past students were placed in uncomfortable plastic or wooden chairs and teachers did their best to adjust the desk to appropriate heights for each student. These table and chairs give students seating that is more comfortable and individualized. My masters degree is in Curriculum and Instruction. I learned that giving students a choice in their education makes a huge positive impact on progress. Why wouldn’t we give them a choice in how and where they sit for six hours a day?
