As of right now, the students have desks that do not have enough storage for their belongings and books in a middle school environment. They previously had desks that could fit everything but were such an odd and bulky shape they took up too much room and made their environment cramped and awkward. Having desks that are more space efficient, I can have storage away from their desks and have them more organized. By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve student attention, focus, and organizational skills, you will ultimately help their academic achievement. Students will be able to have only the necessities at their desk and be able to focus more clearly at whatever topic is being taught. This will eliminate the need for the "normal" desks that students sit at and allow for collaborative work to be consistent and easy. The bookcases are on this list to help free up space for storage for the kids. By building up with bookcases I can have more room for books while still keeping things organized in a middle school class. Everything on this list is meant to last and will help build the middle school program that is growing at our campus!
