Headphones would drastically change the dynamic in my classroom. My class is a 3rd and 4th grade combination class that was formed in January to alleviate high numbers in those grades. I have 2 sets of standards to teach so I rely on independent activities with low noise levels as a teach an individual grade. Right now my students are going on devices to do independent activities, but are unable to use sound without creating a lot of noise. We need sound for programs like Raz Kids, Moby Max, and Wonders. I would also like to use SeeSaw videos and have them watch them independently. My class has many English language learners so I rely on programs that read books to them. I do a slow release approach throughout​ the week. In the beginning of the week, my students begin by listening to stories. Next, they are reading with partners. By the end of the week they built enough stamina to read on their own. I'm also having them listening to stories and taking a quiz on it. I would like to use devices for math as well, but the noise level is just to much. Please help solve this problem in my classroom so my students can learn effectively.
